The Client takes pride in being a 56-bedded acute hospital that specialises in Colorectal, Urology, Orthopaedics, Men’s Health, and Women’s Health. The team is known for its warmth, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to providing exceptional surgical procedures and treatments.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our healthcare team. As a Urology CNS, you will play a vital role in delivering specialised nursing care to patients with urological conditions. Your expertise will contribute to the high-quality care and positive patient experiences that our hospital is known for.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with urological conditions
- Develop and implement individualised care plans
- Provide patient and family education on urological conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques
- Assist in urological procedures, including catheterisations, cystoscopies, and urodynamic testing
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
- Collaborate with the urology team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Coordinate patient appointments, tests, and consultations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance urology care
- Stay updated with the latest advances in urology nursing through professional development
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC
- Masters Level qualification in Nursing or related field
- Advanced practice qualification or certification as a Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist
- Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience in Urology
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
